Opening Mass

On Friday 8th September almost the entire Montessori Junior School went to 10am Mass in Mount Merrion Church. It was a beautiful Autumn morning and the girls from 3rd to 6th class walked with the younger children. It was a lovely opening to the school year.

Leinster Scrum Coach visits Mount Anville

Leinster scrum coach John Fogarty joined us for our assembly this morning. He gave the girls a talk on the life of a professional rugby player and what it is like coaching the Leinster team. We really enjoyed having him as our guest! Cm'on Leinster!

AIJS Athletics Winners

Congratulations to our athletics team who beat off tough competition from eight other independent girls schools to win the AIJS athletics competition which was held in Irishtown Athletics Stadium.

MAMJS win Leinster Hockey Plate

A big congratulations to one of our 6th class hockey teams who beat Hollypark 1-0 in the Leinster Hockey League in a closely fought game in Three Rock on Tuesday 21st March. All of 6th class were there to cheer on the team and give them plenty of encouragement.

The Senior Choir win Taney Cup at Wesley Interschool’s Music Festival

The Senior Choir won the Taney Cup at this year’s Wesley Interschool’s Music Festival. It was a very special moment for the girls and they made the school very proud. They sang “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” from “The Wizard Of Oz”.

World Book Day 2017

We celebrated World Book Day in Mount Anville Montessori Junior School on Thursday 2^nd March. All the children dressed up as a character from a favourite book. The younger children had a visit from 5^th and 6^th class for paired reading.

Musical Coffee Morning

Our School Orchestra and Choirs performed at the musical coffee morning and raised €800 for the Sacred Heart Benevolent Fund. The parents were able to enjoy a cup of coffee while listening to all the lovely music the girls had prepared.

Friday 16th September was National Fitness Day and we were delighted to see so many of our pupils take part in our 8am run. The sun was shining, the spirits were high and everyone had great fun!'

May Procession and Crowning of Our Lady

The sun shone on our beautiful school grounds as the Mount Anville Montessori Junior School community participated in our devotional May Procession and May Crowning ceremonies. Each of the students brought flowers and sang hymns.

Castle Schools Golf Competition

Congratulations to the 6th class Castle Cup Golf team who won the Castle Cup in glorious sunshine! It's the 7th time Mount Anville Montessori Junior School have won the trophy in 8 years which is a tremendous achievement, well done girls!

Tennis Finals

Congratulations to our tennis team who recently won their Leinster Tennis League with a close fought win over Burrow School. The girls battled right to the end and won the final tie break to bring the trophy back to Mount Anville.

St Madeleine Sophie Barat’s Feast Day is celebrated around the world on 25th May. In Mount Anville Montessori School we celebrate this annual Feast with the Teddy Bears Picnic.

AIJS Athletics

This years' AIJS athletics competition took place in Irishtown on Wednesday 27th April. The results were amazing, each team member won either first, second or third place in their individual event. In addition we won two golds and a silver medal in the relays.
