Our visit from Sheila Agnew
27 May 2014Today Sheila Agnew came to our school to tell us about her favourite novels and her new series “Evie Brooks is Marooned in Manhattan.” This book is “first person narrator”. She talked about how she was inspired by Roald Dahl’s book The Witches. I really enjoyed hearing about the stories she liked and didn’t like. In this book I really enjoyed the ending because I felt like I needed to hear more about the book when the man said that he was Evie’s father. I can’t wait for the next book to come out! All the characters in this book were very well described. I thought it was hilarious when Sheila Agnew told us about the time when she went into the animal gym and she saw an iguana on the treadmill. Today I also learnt a new word called protagonist which means the main character of the story.
I loved hearing Sheila Agnew talking about her novels and especially the Evie Brooks books. By Eve 5th Class
